Carraro Crema Espresso

The crema on this espresso is genuinely thick and golden—exactly what I was hoping for from an 80/20 Arabica-Robusta blend. Pulling a shot with my machine fills the kitchen with that rich, classic coffee aroma.

Finally got the grind right for my machine, and these whole beans produce a thick, dark crema that stays on top of the shot for almost a minute. The 80/20 blend is noticeably smoother than the pure robusta I was using before.

Solid crema and a smooth finish that holds up well in a cortado, though the 80/20 blend leans a bit brighter than I usually like for espresso. Bag's a generous 2.2 lbs for the price, and the beans are fresh enough that they grind evenly.
